Jana Jarkovská | flute

Jana Jarkovská comes from the Czech Republic. After graduating from The Bishop Grammar School in Hradec Králové in 2002, she studied for six years at The Prague Conservatoire in the class of Prof. Jan Riedlbauch and in 2013 she obtained her master’s degree at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (Prof. Jiří Válek). She took part in the Erasmus Study Internship (2010) and Erasmus Placement Program (2012) at The The Conservatorio di Musica "Giuseppe Verdi" in Milan (Italy), where she studied and assisted in the class of Prof. Simona Valsecchi.
During her studies she participated in different national and international competitions. In 2003 she won the first prize at The Czech Conservatoires' National Competition. In a duo with her partner, pianist Bohumír Stehlík she won Chieri International Music Competition (Italy) in 2012 and a Pro Musicis International Award (Paris - France) in the year 2013. Her concerts have taken place within different European countries as well as in USA. She gains new experience attending master classes of renowned flautists such as Philippe Benoit, Barthold Kuijken, Gaby Pas-Van Riet or Kaspar Zehnder. From autumn 2013 she studies a Postgraduate Diploma in Interpretation at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm under Tobias Carron.
